It’s a busy December for Kartik Aaryan. Along with shooting for his creature film Nagzilla and promoting his upcoming romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, he also has a major development on the personal front. His younger sister, Kritika Tiwari, is getting married this week in their hometown of Gwalior in Uttar Pradesh.

Pre-wedding celebrations kicked off this past weekend in Mumbai with a haldi ceremony. From a video that’s surfaced on the actor’s fan clubs on social media, Kartik can be seen applying haldi and sprinkling flowers on his sister. Their parents and her friends surround them as they smile.
In other videos from the pre-wedding celebrations in Mumbai, Kartik, Kritika, and her friends are seen dancing to multiple songs at an intimate gathering. Kritika even shakes a leg to the popular dance number “Kajra Re” from Shaad Ali’s 2005 hit romantic heist comedy Bunty Aur Babli. Kartik and Kritika’s mother, Mala Tiwari, also joins in for a few moves.

The most adorable video from the wedding preparations, however, is an Instagram Reel shared by Kritika, in which she announces her wedding hashtag in the most fun way possible. Set to the popular wedding song “Gal Mitthi Mitthi” from Rajshree Ojha’s 2010 rom-com Aisha, the video shows the family’s staff loading the wedding luggage into a truck that’s presumably heading to Gwalior.
Kritika’s parents supervise the loading, as Mala even dismisses Kritika trying to capture her. The bride-to-be then makes all staff members reveal the wedding hashtag — #Tikki, which has been arrived at from her nickname of Kiki. The most hilarious moment in the Reel comes when Kritika asks her father, Manish Tiwari, what the wedding hashtag is.

He mishears the word ‘hashtag’ and asks, “Hairstyle?” before laughing out loud as she corrects him. “Tikki? What is this? Why is it Tikki? When did you keep this one?,” he asks. As Kritika makes him repeat the hashtag, he tries to dodge the same. Kritika then makes her parents and the entire staff scream the wedding hashtag a couple of times so that everyone can hear it loud and clear.
At the end of the Reel, Kritika also shares a few special moments with her fiancé, without revealing his name. As the family has now reached Gwalior, the wedding is expected to take place tomorrow on December 4. However, Kartik hasn’t posted anything about the special occasion on his Instagram handle yet. In videos leaked on social media, he can only be seen talking on the phone at the grand wedding venue in Gwalior.
Kartik’s Instagram handle is full of reposting fan reels of recreating his hook step from the recently released title track of Sameer Vidwans’ Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, in which he stars opposite Ananya Panday. The film, backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is slated to release in cinemas this Christmas on December 25.
