As everyone welcomed 2026 with excitement and celebrations, it was an emotional New Year’s Eve for Esha Deol. The actor had low-key celebrations in Dubai, as she missed her late father, legend Dharmendra. While stargazing in a beautiful cityscape, Esha marked the special occasion with a heartwarming moment. In fact, her half-brother, actor Bobby Deol, also reacted to her social media post.

Taking to her Instagram handle on Wednesday night, she posted two photos from her New Year’s celebration. In one of the pictures, Esha can be seen gazing at the moon in Dubai, with Burj Khalifa in the background. She was wearing a black-gold outfit along with a black jacket, and pointed towards the sky. In another image, she just wrote, “Love you, papa.”

Her half-brother Bobby Deol commented under the post with red heart emoticons. His reaction comes amid reports earlier suggested the sidelining of Esha’s mother, Dharmendra’s second wife, Hema Malini. The two families even hosted separate prayer meets in Mumbai and Delhi.

Check out her post:

Veteran icon Dharmendra took his last breath at the age of 89, on November 24. He is survived by his wives – Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and his six children, including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Esha Deol. After his demise, the Deol family hosted a prayer meet in Mumbai, which was attended by many celebrities, including Salman Khan. But, Hema Malini and her daughters Esha and Ahaana hosted a separate service for Dharmendra in Delhi, with the presence of several high-profile politicians.

Dharmendra’s last film Ikkis is set to hit the theatres today. In the film, the actor will be seen playing the role of Brigadier Madan Lal Khetarpal (Retd.), father of Arun Khetarpal. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film also features Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia and Rahul Dev. The movie’s team even organised a special screening in Mumbai on December 30, which was also attended by Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and many other popular names from the film industry.
