Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu Movie Review, Rating and Release Live Updates: After a disappointing 2025, during which the industry did not witness any massive blockbusters, Telugu cinema has pinned its hopes on 2026, with multiple big-ticket films hitting the screens during the ongoing Sankranti season. While Prabhas inaugurated the box-office battle with The Raja Saab, ‘Megastar’ Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, Ravi Teja, and Naveen Polishetty are currently gearing up for the debut of their movies, making the most of the festive season. Among the lot, one of the most anticipated films is Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu (MSVPG), which features Nayanthara as the female lead. Touted as a sleek action comedy, the movie is helmed by Anil Ravipudi.

It may be recalled that in the Sankranti 2025 battle, although director S Shankar’s Ram Charan-Kiara Advani starrer Game Changer, Nandamuri Balakrishna-Bobby Deol’s Daaku Maharaaj, and Venkatesh-Meenakshi Chaudhary-Aishwarya Rajesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam hit the screens just days apart, only Sankranthiki Vasthunam emerged as a bona fide success. Since its helmer, Anil Ravipudi, is also directing MSVPG, expectations for the Chiranjeevi-Nayanthara starrer are sky-high.

In the film’s trailer, the makers promised to reintroduce the “vintage megastar” whom Telugu audiences have always been a fan of and have been missing for quite some time. Offering a mix of megastar swagger, action, comedy, drama, and emotions, MSVPG is expected to be the whole package, complete with a special cameo appearance by Venkatesh. Also starring Catherine Tresa, Sachin Khedekar, and Sudev Nair in key roles, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu will hit the screens on Monday, January 12.

MSVPG is a significant project for Chiranjeevi, especially since his last movie, Bhola Shankar, bombed at the box office, grossing just Rs 42.25 crore worldwide. The megastar’s fans are hopeful that MSVPG will help him overcome this rough patch, as the trailer suggests that the movie will be a quintessential Anil Ravipudi entertainer.
