1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the website located at https://news.trpcoder.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”), our Privacy Policy and any other policies posted on the Site. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and TRP News (referred to in these Terms as “TRP News”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
2. About TRP News
TRP News is an India-focused online news portal publishing news, analysis, aggregated summaries and multimedia content across multiple language editions (Hindi, English, Bengali, and International). Contact: contact@news.trpcoder.com.
3. Access & use of the site
a. Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with parental or guardian consent.
b. Lawful use: You agree to use the Site in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms. You will not use the Site to upload, post, transmit or distribute any material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, abusive, threatening, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise objectionable.
c. Acceptable behaviour: You must not: (i) impersonate any person or entity; (ii) use automated scripts or scraping tools to access or collect content; (iii) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site; or (iv) interfere with or disrupt the Site’s operation.
4. User accounts and registration
a. Account creation: Some Site features may require account registration. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to update that information as needed.
b. Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@news.trpcoder.com of any unauthorized use.
c. Suspension or termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
5. User content, comments and contributions
a. User content: “User Content” means any text, images, audio, video or other material you submit to the Site (for example, comments, tips, guest articles, or uploads). You retain ownership of your User Content but grant TRP News a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, perpetual license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform the User Content in connection with the Site and TRP News’s business.
b. Conduct and moderation: User Content must be lawful and non-infringing. We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to review, edit, refuse or remove any User Content for any reason, including content that violates these Terms.
c. No compensation: Unless agreed in writing, you acknowledge that you will not receive payment for content you submit.
d. Representations and warranties: By publishing User Content, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, releases and permissions to grant the license above and that your content does not violate any third-party rights.
6. Intellectual property and site content
a. Ownership: All text, images, logos, graphics, audio, video, software and other materials on the Site (collectively, “Site Content”) are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws and are the property of TRP News, its contributors, or the respective rights holders.
b. Limited licence for personal use: You may view, download and print Site Content for your personal, non-commercial use only, provided you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices. c. Trademarks: TRP News’s logos, product names and service names are trademarks of TRP News. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use TRP News trademarks without prior written permission.
7. Aggregated content & attribution
a. Aggregation: Some content on the Site is aggregated from third-party feeds (RSS and similar). Aggregated items will include an attribution and a link to the original source where possible. If you are a rights owner and have a concern about how your content is used, please contact contact@news.trpcoder.com.
b. Canonical & republishing: Where we republish full content, we will do so only with permission or under license; otherwise aggregated items are summaries/excerpts with links to the source. We strive to include canonical links and proper attribution to avoid duplicate content issues.
8. Links to third-party sites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by TRP News. These links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. TRP News is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of those sites. Access links at your own risk.
9. Advertising & sponsored content
a. Advertisements: The Site may contain advertisements and sponsored content. Advertisements do not imply endorsement by TRP News of the advertiser or their products/services.
b. Sponsored content: Sponsored or paid content will be clearly labeled as such. Editorial content is separate from sponsored content and is subject to editorial control.
10. Disclaimers — accuracy & updates
a. No warranty: The Site and Site Content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we strive for accuracy, TRP News does not guarantee that the Site will be error-free, complete or uninterrupted.
b. News timeliness: News can change rapidly. Information published on the Site may become outdated and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice where appropriate. Readers should verify time-sensitive information with primary sources.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TRP News and its officers, directors, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the Site, even if TRP News has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for claims relating to the Site will not exceed the amount you have paid (if any) to TRP News in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim, or INR 5,000, whichever is greater.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TRP News and its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including, but not limited to, reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your use of the Site, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your User Content.
13. Termination & suspension of access
TRP News may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms or if continued operation of the Site is threatened. Sections 5 (User content), 6 (Intellectual property), 11 (Limitation of liability), 12 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing law) will survive termination.
14. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. You agree that the courts located in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
