अनुराग कश्यप की फिल्मों का रिलीज से पहले चर्चाओं में आना आम बात है. बेबाक सोच और अलग तरह की कहानी कहने के चलते उन्हें कई बार रुकावटों का सामना करना पड़ा. इन्हीं मुश्किलों के बीच उन्होंने एक ऐसी फिल्म बनाई थी, जिसे पूरा होने में आठ साल लग गए थे. रिलीज के वक्त भले ही वह फिल्म बॉक्स ऑफिस पर कोई कमाल नहीं दिखा सकी. लेकिन फिर भी कल्ट साबित हुई.

Anurag Kashyap is known for making bold and unconventional films that often explore unusual or controversial themes. Because of this, he has faced challenges multiple times, including difficulties with the Censor Board, which sometimes raises objections to the content of his movies.

नई दिल्ली. अनुराग कश्यप की फिल्मों की कहानी लोगों को सोचने पर मजबूर कर दिया करती हैं. साल 2009 में तो उनकी एक ऐसी फिल्म ने सिनेमाघरों में दस्तक दी थी, जिसे बनने में 8 साल लग गए थे.फिर भी रिलीज के बाद फिल्म कोई खास कमाल नहीं दिखा सकी. लेकिन वक्त के साथ उसने कल्ट क्लासिक का दर्जा हासिल कर लिया.

Despite facing obstacles, Anurag Kashyap never backs down. There was one film he made during a time in his life when he was frustrated and angry about many things. The movie took eight years to complete. While it did not do well at the box office when released, it is now considered a cult classic and that film is Gulaal.

अनुराग कश्यप उन चुनिंदा फिल्ममेकर में से एक रहे हैं जो, सेफ खेलना पसंद नहीं करते. उनकी फिल्मों में दिखाई गई कहानी बड़ी आसानी से सिनेमाघरों तक नहीं पहुंचती. कई बार तो उनकी फिल्में देख दर्शक सोचने पर मजबूर हो जाते हैं.

Featuring Raj Singh Chaudhary, Kay Kay Menon, Abhimanyu Singh and Aditya Srivastava, the film began production in 2001 but was only released in 2009. The movie was born out of Kashyap’s frustration after the Censor Board denied certification for his directorial debut, Paanch, because of its violent content.

अनुराग की फिल्में सिस्टम को भी असहज कर देती है. यही वजह है कि अक्सर सेंसर बोर्ड के साथ उनका विवाद बना रहता है. उनकी फिल्मों को अक्सर सिनेमाघरों में दस्तक देने से पहले आपत्तियों का सामना करना पड़ता है.

Anurag Kashyap explained that during that phase, an actor from Paanch introduced him to Raja Chaudhary, a part-time model who had written a story about college politics. Kashyap felt the idea was interesting but lacked a strong background and a clear reason for why events were happening. At the time, he was feeling low and wanted a break, so he travelled to Jaipur with Raja and co-writer Rahul Mahariya.

अनुराग कश्यप अपनी जिद और जुनून के आगे कभी पीछे भी हीं हटते. उनकी इसी के चलते मिसाल भी दी जाती है, फिल्म गुलाल भी उन्हीं में से एक है. हमबात कर रहे हैं, अनुराग कश्यप की फिल्म गुलाल की. जिसे बनने में आठ साल लगे थे. फिल्म काफी विवादों के बाद रिलीज भी हुई तो कुछ खास कमाल नहीं दिख सकी थी.

During the trip, Anurag Kashyap, Raja Chaudhary and Rahul Mahariya met members of royal families and listened to their personal stories. Many of them shared similar complaints about the government. These conversations helped Kashyap find a deeper context for the story, which finally gave shape and direction to the film.

फिल्ममेकर की फिल्म गुलाल को आज भी कल्ट फिल्मों में गिना जाता है. फिल्म में राज सिंह चौधरी, केके मेनन, अभिमन्यु सिंह और आदित्य श्रीवास्तव जैसे एक्टर्स ने अपने किरदारों में जान फूंक दी थी. फिल्म की शूटिंग साल 2001 में शुरू हुई थी, लेकिन फिल्म को बनते बनते आठ साल लग गए और 2009 में रिलीज हुई.

Anurag Kashyap was inspired to make Gulaal by the songs from Guru Dutt’s classic hit Pyaasa. While he was working on the script, Piyush Mishra visited him. A music director was also there and began playing songs by Nadeem-Shravan. During this, Piyush took the harmonium and sang some of his own songs. Kashyap was so impressed with Piyush’s music that he offered him the opportunity to compose songs for the film.

इससे पहले अनुराग कश्यप की फिल्म पांच आईं, लेकिन फिल्मों को उनके कंटेंट की वजह से सेंसर सर्टिफिकेट नहीं मिला था. इस उसी तनाव ने गुलाल बनाने का आइडिया मिला था.इस दौरान कश्यप , राजा चौधरी से मिले, राजा एक पार्ट टाइम मॉडल थे. जिनके साथ मिलकर वह जयपुर गए और वहां तीनों ने कई शाही परिवारों से मिलकर राजनीति को लेकर उनकी नाराजगी को करीब से समझा.

When Gulaal was being shot, the film faced financial problems after 20 days of shooting, which forced production to stop. During this break, Anurag Kashyap worked on other films, including No Smoking, Return of Hanuman and Dev.D. Zee Motion Pictures later agreed to produce Gulaal, allowing Kashyap to finish the film and release it to the audience.

फिल्म गुलाल के म्यूजिक ने भी फिल्म को खास बनाया है. ये फिल्म गुरु दत्त की फिल्म प्यासा के गानों से काफी प्रभावित थे. स्क्रिप्ट के दौरान पियूष ने अपने गीत उन्हें सुनाए थे,वह इतना इंप्रेस हुए थे कि फिल्म का संगीत उन्हें ही सौंप दिया गया था.फिल्म की शूटिंग से 20 दिन पहले ही आर्थिक तंगी से गुजरना पड़ा था. इसलिए अनुराग ने हनुमान और देव.डी जैसी फिल्में लेकर आए. इसके बाद किसी तरह गुलाल का काम कंप्लीट हुआ था.

Gulaal was finally released on 13 March 2009. Although it did not do well at the box office, it has become a cult classic. Even today, people appreciate the film, and it holds a strong IMDb rating of 8.

बता दें कि साल 2009 में सिनेमाघरों में दस्तक देने वाली फिल्म गुलाल, रिलीज होने के बाद बॉक्स ऑफिस पर कुछ खास कमाल नहीं दिखा पाई थी. लेकिन धीरे धीरे इसने अपनी अलग पहचान बनाई और IMDb पर फिल्म की रेटिंग 8 दी गई है. देखते ही देखते ये फिल्म कल्ट साबित हुई.
